In the Arena:
Christian’s music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring wearing street clothes.
Christian has a mic in hand and he looks out at the crowd. He says Night of Champions, Buffalo, New York. He fills the crowd in on what he’s been up to. He’s talked to Teddy Long and Triple H, and they’re too self absorbed to do the right thing, so he’ll do the right thing. He’s been in the business a long time, and racked up a lot of great matches that people will talk about for years to come, so he deserves one more match to become the World Champion, so he should get to face whoever wins the Henry/Orton match, immediately after the finish tonight. He takes a shot at Buffalo fans, telling them they’ve never won the Superbowl, they’ll probably never win the Superbowl, but he’s won it, twice. He’s a champion, this is the Night of Champions, and he wants everyone who feels his pain and joins his cause to stand up and say he deserves one more match. The crowd before to chant one more match as well, until they’re interrupted by Sheamus’ music.
Sheamus makes his way down to the ring, also wearing street clothes, and also with a mic. He says Christian’s right, this is the Night of Champions, not the night of the squinty eyed, crying, moaning, complaining little weasel. Sheamus has been a World Champion too and he’d give his Uncle Ferguson’s lucky green testicle to be here tonight. Christian says he’s got the testicles to stand up and tell the world he deserves one more match. Sheamus says he’s got a good point, and he’s sure his uncle would agree with him too. So if Sheamus can help Christian get a match, and he wins the title, he’ll have to give Sheamus the first match. Sheamus gets the crowd to chant one more match, but surprises Christian with a big bicycle kick, laying him out. Sheamus smiles and gets a big pop from the crowd.
